Charlton were unhappy but Ulloa's goal was ONSIDE

Leo Ulloa is, at worst, level with the defender as Jesse Lingard passes

Leo Ulloa is, at worst, level with the defender as Jesse Lingard passes

Leo Ulloa and Jesse Lingard got their timing just right to put Albion into a 2-0 lead against Charlton.

The Addicks claimed Ulloa was offside when he ran on to Lingard’s pass to score just before half-time.

But highlights on the Football League Show, screened on BBC1 tonight, show the Albion pair – and assistant referee Andrew Garratt – got it absolutely right.

Ulloa is clearly being played onside by right-back Lawrie Wilson, at the top of the picture, as Lingard slides the pass through to him.

How strange. My eyesight must be failing me. But I just can't find a single comment from Oscar Must Go!

I love it when a good run of form silences the trolls (or at least most of them - shame Ringpiece doesn't follow the others back into their rat hole).

Great result in what could have been seen as a potential banana skin.

Well done the lads!

Oh you really are amusing and of course so predictable!!

When i have something to say i do it in a constructive way without being rude to people like you. My dignity prevents me from doing otherwise.

If you had been one of those who paid to get in yesterday you would have seen the poorest team to visit the AMEX all season. They were truly clueless. Oscar did what all the 28000ish people would have done by not significantly changing the lineup apart from at full back although you should be concerned about Kuszczak's absence . Reports are that he was not sick. Think about it. He has been hankering after a contract offer but has been told to wait until the season ends. Suddenly Burke goes public that Dunk has a big future at the club and then March gets a contract. This could explain his fast early exit yesterday after a visit to Burke's office!! Watch this space!! If Ankergren and Brezovan are the only goalkeepers available for the rest of the season then a calamity is just around the corner.

Yesterday's substitutions were open to debate as taking off both wingers especially replacing March with Calderon did not ring true when just about everyone in the ground would have preferred to see CMS get a few minutes. It was all irrelevant though as he could have put you or me on and Brighton would still have won at a canter.

Coupled with that, all week Oscar has been grizzling about his squad and then puts Jones up to do the media after the game should not be viewed without suspicion. He is not the man to lead Brighton to the promised land and if he wants to go to Swansea, Norwich or anywhere else i'll drive him there myself.

Just in case you think that i'm going to respond to your upcoming abusive response i'm sorry to disappoint you but i'm off to Wembley to see the FA Cup semi-final involving Hull so won't be available. Now that's another story about Oscar's incompetence as i should not be alone heading North today!! Enough said.

Have a nice day but be careful it will probably rain there at about 4pm!!

Have to say, those same thoughts regarding our illustrious No 1 had occurred to, but then I'm a born cynic. Look at Bridcutt, went sick but as soon as he joined Sunderland his illness mysteriously disappeared and he was fit to play for THEM!
Hope the same doesn't go for Oscar. I think he's done well! Anyone can perform well with a big budget. Takes someone who knows their job to achieve what Oscar has with an average budget. Gus is learning that the grass is not always greener. Likely we'll be facing Sunderland next year because I fancy Derbyshire to join Leicester and Burnley.
