Matt Tubbs has returned to the Crawley starting line-up for tonight’s League One clash at home to Tranmere.

Joint top scorer Tubbs was an unused substitute for Saturday’s 2-0 win at MK Dons which ended a run of six straight defeats.

He returns alongside Jamie Proctor in a switch to 4-4-2 with midfielder Gary Dicker dropping to the bench.

Mark Connolly starts at right-back in place of injured namesake Paul Connolly, the man he replaced after ten minutes of Saturday’s game.

Connolly, who is awaiting the outcome of an appeal against an FA charge of violent conduct, has a hernia problem.

Otherwise, manager John Gregory has kept faith with the players who won on Saturday, with Connor Essam returning to the squad on the bench.

Top scorer Ryan Lowe is missing for Tranmere after picking up a minor knock against Shrewsbury on Saturday while Jason Koumas is ruled out by a toe injury.
