Guy Whittingham admits Crawley want to finish the season on a high.

But he has warned about the threat posed by today’s opponents Leyton Orient.

It was against then leaders Orient that the management team of John Gregory and head coach Whittingham gained their first win in December.

Whittingham said: “When you get teams coming here who are doing well in the league, you want to play well against them to show that you are not bad yourselves.

“That is the motivation we need for Leyton Orient. After that, we have Notts County who are fighting for their lives. We have some tough games.

“We have two straight wins which is great, two clean sheets which is fantastic and we are confident but we know there is a lot of hard work still to be done.

“Leyton Orient will come here looking for revenge. The position they are in they have still got to keep putting pressure on the teams above them and make sure they finish as high as they can for placings in the play-offs.

“Beating last season’s tenth placed finish is something the players have always got in the back of their minds. You always look to improve. Our aim is just to win as many games as we can that we have left.”

Billy Clarke again misses out today with a broken hand while Paul Connolly is sidelined by a combination of injury and suspension.
