Buckley warns Yeovil will make it tough

Will Buckley admits Albion need to be at their best to beat Yeovil tonight.

But the winger believes three points off the Glovers can set the Seagulls up for a high-powered end to the season.

Yeovil are bottom of the Championship and their relegation will be confirmed if they fail to win at the Amex.

But their away record is not among the three worst in the division.

They have been hard to beat, losing only 11 of their 22 away games.

Buckley said: “I didn’t know that stat but it really does show how tough every single game is, whether you are at home or away.

“It doesn’t matter who you are playing in the division, you need to be at your best or you won’t win the game.

“It’s going to be a massive game and I’m sure there is going to be a great atmosphere.”

Albion go into tonight’s match unbeaten in six games – but with just two twins from their last nine.

Buckley wants to banish any question marks over their momentum.

He added: “If we win, we will be really confident we can go on and win the last game as well.

“It’s just getting this game won.”

Why is it that we have so much difficulty beating bottom of the league teams? We always say it's because they park the bus and try and nick one on the break, to varying degrees of success. Well, if they were really that hard to beat they wouldn't be at the bottom of the league would they? They'd be at the top instead. I can't be bothered to do the stats myself but I suspect if we looked at the teams in the top 6 it would be clear that they don't have the same problems. I'll be happy to be proved wrong if someone wants to look at it though.

Meanwhile I hope we get a good result to celebrate the 'final' home game of the regular season and that the rain stays away - it drips down the back of my neck off the edge of the roof you see! But I'm still looking forward to it and remain optimistic.

Why do we have to build up the opposing team, for heavens sake they are currently the worst team in the Championship,so lets stop making excuses, the fans won't be forgiving tonight if we don't press from the start. Unfortunately we never seem to perform when on TV,but a win it must be,nothing less and lets stop the tippy tappy back, sideways passes until we are in the lead by at least 2 goals.

The table shows that Yeovil are effectively relegated already and are the worst team in the division, even worse than Blackpool and goodness knows they were bad. We seem scared of playing these poor teams, if we think we are good enough for the play-offs we should be beating teams like Yeovil and Blackpool easily not pretending they are Barcelona or Bayern Munich. Get out there and beat Yeovil, they are a poor team.
