Boss John Gregory was left frustrated as Crawley wasted numerous chances to end their season on a winning note.

Jamie Proctor gave Reds the lead in the first half at home against Bristol City but they were unable to press home their dominance.

The visitors made them pay when Simon Gillett fired home an equaliser against the run of play in the second half.

Gregory said: “I felt if we got a second goal it could be two, three, four or five the mood we were in today.

“We attacked very well but we had chance after chance and it is exceptionally frustrating we didn’t put one away. We should have put the game to bed as you are always likely to concede one at some stage.

“We let Bristol straight back into the game and then we found ourselves in a situation where we possibly could have lost which was not the way we wanted to end the season.

“It sums up our season really in that it was another game we dominated and should have won. When you get chances you need to put them away. We certainly need to do that better next season.”
