Brothers Nathan and Sam Crabb are the latest players to commit themselves to Lewes.

The pair have followed Jack Dixon and Fraser Logan by agreeing new deals for the 2014-15.

Nathan Crabb was again an influential figure at the Dripping Pan this season and it was no coincidence that Lewes went on their worst run of the season – an 11-match run without a win in March and April – when he was either ruled out or not fully fit due to a knee injury.

Sam Crabb picked up the Rooks’ player-of-the-season award after impressing throughout the campaign at right-back.

Assistant manager Danny Bloor said: “Sam was our player-of-the-season and did extremely well. He has become an important member of our squad and we are delighted he is staying with us.

“Some people thought I was made when I put him at right-back but going forward he was outstanding last season. However, he has still got to work the defensive side of his game “With Nathan, it was plain to see when a fit Nathan Crabb wasn’t playing we were nowhere near as strong a team.

“His commitment and workrate is fantastic.”
