The pair were brought to the Amex by former head coach Oscar Garcia when he took charge last summer.

Torrijo worked as fitness coach while Martinez looked after the goalkeepers.

Fingers crossed Sami Hypia is named as new manager in the next day or 2. Think he would be the best choice at the moment. (Malky Mccay doesn't look like he wants it)

Sherwood is ok but maybe another Poyet!

whoever lets get TK back before he finds new club and Orlandi the others we can get better than.

Clearing the decks for the imminent announcement of the new manager. Regardless of who it is lets all get behind him. Hardly makes them loyal fans does it ?

Anyone else on here curious about how a full-time Goalkeeping coach fills his week ??
Given the fact that goalkeepers are all actually capable of catching a ball and either kicking or throwing it to a team mate ( or they wouldn't be goalkeepers in the first place), just how much work is involved in practising this to warrant the employment of a full-time coach.
Sounds like a cushy number to me !!
Full coaches, I can understand as there are a variety of tactics that can be used in a game, but goalkeeping is all about positioning, blocking, catching and distributing the ball. Does this really require a full-time separate coach ??

Interesting point but I would suggest that with Casper and Brez he had his work cut out just doing the basics. Seems Walton's father is touting his son . A dilemma for the club that one as it seems an inevitability that he will move on, the question is when and how much for ?

Manuel Almunia has been released by Watford if Tomasz doesn't come back remember the Caldy thing with Southampton a few years ago.

Have to agree. In the rare glimpses we saw of him you could see the guy has the vision and talent to control the game. Hopefully with the right man coaxing it out of him and keeping his weight under control we will see him being a regular next season.

what a ridiculous attitude, you would have the club potentially walk to the edge of bankruptcy again? Forget the words 'financial fair play' substitute them for sensible economics and we should be aiming for that regardless of any rules imposed by the FA.

I though the idea of a Director of Football was that even if Managers come & go there is continuity & stability so that the club can carry on moving forward on course regardless, we are 3 years into a 5 year plan I think I've heard quoted, if that is the case why are we 8/9 players short of a first team squad ideally we should be adding 3/4 players a season to strengthen of position & push on, instead we are in need of a massive rebuild just to stand still, sorry to state the obvious, but we are stuttering & like most others on here, I'm only saying this because I care, we play in a stadium we could only dream of in the past, we also have support others dream of, lets not have whole thing turn into a nightmare because of poor leadership, & a lot of indecision. There must something very amiss going on as there should be a queue of Managers lining up to ignite our potential & build their own reputation on, the silence is deafening.

There must something very amiss going on as there should be a queue of Managers lining up to ignite our potential & build their own reputation on, the silence is deafening.[/p][/quote]There is a queue, that is what takes the time to sort out. Exactly let's forget FFP and let Burke and jones worry about it.. We can do it, with the right money!
I meant that seriously , FFP and injuries are nothing but excuses.
what a ridiculous attitude, you would have the club potentially walk to the edge of bankruptcy again? Forget the words 'financial fair play' substitute them for sensible economics and we should be aiming for that regardless of any rules imposed by the FA.
BHA are awash with money. Don't believe the tripe they feed fans

Burnley and Derby finished second and third without breaking the bank, QPR scraped home whilst spending much more. The financial restrictions last season meant we could not easily get what we needed in the loan market for our considerable injury problems, so it did affect our season.
In January we will see if we were mugs for sticking to it, those that broke the rules could find themselves in some turmoil.

Club is lucky fans believe every bit of BS they spoon feed them

Bit like when the handle of a mug falls off. You take it back to the shop and the manager tell's you it's not a fault, its designed to do that. Thats the kind of guff BHA feed fans
LOL, good shout pte

Brain dead mugs just about sums this lot up. They follow the club script so closely I wonder if they are employees of BHA paid to post. If so BHA should sack them to keep within FFP

Why on earth we ever needed these two buffoons in the first place is beyond me. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians at the Albion these days. Praying we get Makcky Mac or Chris Hughton, or maybe Hyypia worst case, got a horrible feeling Blooms got a surprise up his sleeve. Maybe tomorrow something concrete will finally materialise.

Starved of info the debate takes a desperate turn.

The club are due an update very soon whether it be that we are entering a period of close negotiations or that we have appointed the next manager.

Easy. TB knows what he's doing. We will have a flood of announcements very soon.

The Spanish theme well and truly over then. Only two Spaniards left now, I think, since we said goodbye to Orlandi, Lopez, Rodriguez, Oscar, and his two side kicks.

Going British for a manager seems to be more foreign than going foreign these days, even in the Championship, but hope everyone at BHA has realised that the teams that finished top 4 and the 3 that went up were all very proudly managed by home grown Britishness.

Que arrival of Finlands own Hyypia, or the French bloke that nobody has ever heard of and his assistant Reginald Ray, who sounds very British but probably isn't.

I don't get it ? Personally I'm still hanging on to the hope that Sherwood comes in, he has a multitude of contacts in the game and a well respected development background with young players. We need both of those attributes so that we don't keep punting on maybe's.

I'm also hanging on to Barbers comments from 3 weeks ago that we have many high calibre applicants. Seems to me the bookies are unaware of it because the favourites appear not to fit that billing.

Yeah - let's rip with the spending ! The only trouble is Mark, as ever with your 'logic', IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY! You want the club to go down the road of Bolton, Wolves, Leeds and Pompey, I don't - and neither does any sensible supporter. You seem to regard as an absolute tragedy if the club aren't promoted every season. I'm happy to wait ands watch the club grow and prosper in a sustainable way. I certainly don't look for the rash and reckless spending that you advocate.

What's the betting that most Albion supporters who post on here advocating a spending spree with money THEY think the club has, are just as irresponsible with their own finances and business monetary prudence.
