Steve Magoffin struck with the final ball before the lunch interval to give Sussex a vital breakthrough on day two of their Championship clash with Yorkshire at Arundel Castle.
The Aussie got a ball to nip back at Alex Lees (27) and trap him lbw after he had put on 56 with fellow opener Adam Lyth.
It was a big boost for Sussex after Lees and Lyth (30 not out) had looked largely untroubled against the new ball as they made a cautious start to their reply to Sussex’s total of 316.
Sussex had earlier added 16 to their overnight total of 300-9 with Jon Lewis being the last wicket to fall when he edged Jack Brooks to second slip having made 61.
