Crawley have completed the signing of defender Sonny Bradley from Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old centre back agreed a two-year deal today after undergoing a medical at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.

Bradley becomes manager John Gregory’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Brian Jensen, Lanre Oyebanjo, Ryan Dickson and Jimmy Smith.

He made 34 appearances for Portsmouth in League Two last season but was in new manager Andy Awford’s plans.

Reds have paid a small fee for the former Hull City trainee who was also on the radar of a number of Championship clubs.

Gregory said: “Sonny is a commanding defender and someone I have been targeting for some time. There was a lot of interest in him so I’m delighted to have signed him.

“We have good depth in our central defensive positions now but Sonny will be challenging the others for a regular place.”
