Eastbourne Borough have completed the signing of midfielder Charlie Losasso.

The former Whitehawk loanee has moved to Priory Lane following his release by Bournemouth.

Losasso, 21, began his career at Reading before switching to the Cherries last summer.

As well as two stints with Whitehawk, he also had a loan spell at Dorchester Town.

His arrival follows the departure over the weekend of Frankie Raymond, who was sold to Dagenham and Redbridge, and Charlie Gorman, who has joined Conference premier side Wlling United.

Borough boss Tommy Widdrington said: “Charlie is another player I have been aware of for some time and having recently been released by Championship club AFC Bournemouth I felt we could be a good match for each other.

“Having seen and ultimately signed Frankie Raymond and Charlie Gorman in similar situations to Charlie (Losasso) and Sam (Beale), I’m of course hopeful they can emulate their predecessors firstly by becoming consistent performers for the Sports and then who knows where that may lead.”

Borough returned to pre-season training yesterday with all players who had agreed to sign new deals to stay at the club present.
