No approach from Spurs about Albion groundshare

The Amex

The Amex

First published in Sport

Spurs have yet to reveal their hand to Albion over the possibility of groundsharing at the Amex.

The Argus understands there has been no official contact yet from the North London giants.

Tottenham are looking at venues for home matches for 2016-17 while they make the move from White Hart Lane to a new stadium, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Amex is reportedly one of the venues under consideration by the Spurs' hierarchy, together with Wembley, the Olympic Stadium, stadiummk at Milton Keynes and Portman Road, Ipswich.

Spurs were Albion's friendly opponents for the official opening of the Amex in July 2011.

Here's a brainwave, get spurs to build us a new ground at the goldstone ground site and they can have the Amex. The atmosphere is never that great there and being out on a limb in Falmer just doesn't feel right. After years of wandering the seagulls are coming home to roost! Spurs can play at the withdean while all the building work gets done.

May have been a good idea but by all accounts he's put on about 4stone over the summer as some kind of protest and to force a move!...obviously did the trick but now he's without a club and he's fat!...don't think paddy quite thought that one through
