Craig Mackail-Smith continued his prolific pre-season form for Albion in Spain tonight.
The fit-again striker scored his third goal in as many friendlies for Sami Hyypia's side against Real Betis.
Mackail-Smith slotted Albion into an early advantage but they were eventually beaten 3-1 at the Pinatar Arena.
The former Peterborough marksman, on target previously against Lewes and Partick Thistle, controlled a shot from Jake Forster-Caskey to place Albion into an 11th minute lead with a clinical right-foot finish.
Striker Ruben Castro levelled for Betis just before the break and Jorge Casado put them ahead four minutes into the second half with a diving header.
Sergio Rodriguez made it 3-1 to the team relegated from La Liga last season with a shot in off a post 14 minutes from time.
Hyypia used all 18 players named on the teamsheet, including new signing Aaron Hughes for the last half-hour.
Leicester transfer target Leo Ulloa was joined on the absent list by Albion's other summer signing so far, midfielder Nzuzi Toko.
