Crawley Town have signed trialist midfielder Emmett O’Connor on a one-year contract.
The 21-year-old Canadian has impressed sufficiently in Crawley’s pre-season friendlies to date to be offered a deal.
O’Connor, who scored twice at Billingshurst in the opening pre-season game, played for Scarborough City Centre in the Ontario Soccer League last season.
Reds boss John Gregory said: “Emmett was recommended to us, paid his own way over here to try to earn a contract and he has really impressed me and the staff here.
“He works hard, has got plenty of skill and an end product in terms of his crossing and finishing.”
