Crawley boss John Gregory declared himself happy with his side’s 1-1 draw at home to Albion.

The Reds deservedly led at half-time thanks to a header from trialist striker Collins John but were pegged back in the second half by an equaliser from Kazenga LuaLua.

Gregory said: “There were lots of positive. I strive for perfection and it wasn’t quite perfection but there were lots of very good things.

“As always in these games you want to be tested, you want to be really pushed to the limit with regards to fitness and ability to keep the ball, set-pieces and little adjustments in the team we made from Saturday against Fulham when we were a little bit nervous.

“We showed a lot of courage tonight and there were some really good individual performances and generally as a team it was a great workout out for us.”

Gregory revealed after the game that former Watford youngster Bobson Bawling could follow fellow trialist Emmett O’Connor in signing a deal at Crawley.

The Reds boss said: ““We will probably sign him before the weekend.”

Gregory will continue to monitor the progress of former Fulham and Netherlands striker John.
