ALBION are in the market for another versatile striker to increase Sami Hyypia's attacking options amid doubts about the availability of Jesse Lingard.

The Seagulls' hopes of getting loan signing Lingard back have been complicated by his involvement in Manchester United's pre-season tour of the States under new manager Louis van Gaal.

Lingard came on 12 minutes from time to clinch United's 3-1 win against Liverpool in the final of the International Champions Cup in the early hours of this morning.

Hyypia brought on goalscorer Kazenga LuaLua and Will Buckley as the tucked-in wingers in place of youngsters Solly March and Shamir Fenelon in Albion's final friendly against Southampton at the Amex last week.

LuaLua and Buckley have a history of injury problems and Hyypia has no established alternative, with England under 21 prospect March approaching only his second season at senior club level and Fenelon yet to make a competitive first team appearance.

Hyypia currently has Chris O'Grady and Craig Mackail-Smith competing at centre-forward following Leo Ulloa's move to Leicester.

Albion remain keen on adding Bristol City captain Sam Baldock to Hyypia's firepower choices, although City boss Steve Cotterill has reiterated his determination to hold onto the former MK Dons marksman.

Seagulls supporters have a chance to quiz Hyypia, chairman Tony Bloom and chief executive Paul Barber during an hour-long BBC Sussex forum in the BUPA Lounge at the Amex tonight (7.05pm).
