Inigo Calderon has urged Albion not to get carried away after an impressive away win.

But the right-back reckons the Seagulls have shown they can beat anybody when they play well.

Albion are buoyant after their 2-0 success at Leeds as they prepare to face winless Bolton at the Amex on Saturday.

Calderon insists the delight at Elland Road and misery in defeat at Birmingham last Saturday should not be taken to heart.

He said: “We weren’t happy against Birmingham.

“But we weren’t too bad before Tuesday and we are not the best team in the world now.

“We need to keep our feet on the floor.

“But I think it is really good to realise that, if we do the things we need to do, we have a massive chance to win every single game.”

Sensible comments from Caldi. Hopefully us fans need to do the same thing too. Im sure this season wil have its ups and downs, it wouldn't be Brighton would it if it didn't.

Yes Caldi is a BHA man thru and thru--his comments are true--as they say--One swallow does not make a Summer---but lets hope that the Leeds result is a new beginning.

Slightly of topic, but it does involve Caldes right back slot. The Irish press are quoting that we are close to signining a young 20 year old Irish right back.
" Brighton appear to have won the race to sign Cork City starlet Brian Lenihan".

It appears Hull were also interested but we look to be leading the race. He is very well thought of over there, one for the DS squad or challenging Bruno and Calde maybe.

Morning all. Interesting post.
Calde (who we all love and revere) will be the first to admit that his legs aren't the youngest and if he picks up a knock he takes longer to recover these days. Also begs the question about Bruno who often fills that slot. What of him I wonder? He was talking about playing more of a midfield role but with our abundance of proper midfielders maybe he will be looking over his shoulder also.
Thoughts, anyone?

Back in the day he originally played in mid field but as you say, with the new mid fielders in place he will have competition, but his clever tricks and ability to make the player in front of him perform better (Buckley)plus something unexpected will always make him a favourite at the Ame x

Obviously sound advice but I just heard from a friend oop North who is a Leeds fan - he said Brighton were outstanding last night - different class - and that if they can play like that all season they'll "get promoted" ---
Suddenly really looking forward to Saturday. Where is everyone getting their Sam Baldock news from? Can't see anything linking him with us ....

watching the extended highlights v Leeds
Bruno had an excellent game down the right flank.
Maybe he is now seen primarily in that role. which makes room for Lenihan & Calde to share RB slot
