Craig Mackail-Smith is delighted after his goal

First published in Sport

Albion came from a goal down for their first home league win under Sami Hyypia.

And here are the strikes that brought them three points.

Craig Mackail-Smith turned home Inigo Calderon's low cross to cancel out Matt Mills' header.

Then home debutant Joao Teixeira drilled a shot through the legs of sub goalkeeper Andy Lonergan after new boy Joe Bennett had sent him breaking into the penalty area.

Very impressed with the new boys that joined us, Didn't take Bennett long to find his feet,Holla controlled the midfield. But it was down to a great team performance, with both CMS & Bruno outstanding.

Just glad that Macca scored. Felt for him when playing under Gus and Oscar. A great striker mismanaged. Not to criticise Gus nor Oscar, they had a vision of how the team should play and did what they thought was best-and it was successful to a degree or we wouldn't have finished top six for two years but we had a problem with scoring. Nice to see Macca overflowing with confidence.
