Who was Albion's man of the match at Swindon?

The impressive Lewis Dunk congratulates two-goal Jake Forster-Caskey last night

The impressive Lewis Dunk congratulates two-goal Jake Forster-Caskey last night

Albion got there in the end.

But who did you think did most to see them over the line at Swindon?

Adrian Colunga and Jake Forster-Caskey were major providers to the four-goal tally.

Rohan Ince scored an absolute beauty on the volley.

And Lewis Dunk was excellent at the back, as well as going close to a goal himself.

Albion were caused some problems out wide but their full-backs stuck at it and arguably looked more secure as the tie progressed.

But Dunk was 100% responsible for both Swindon goals and the wind blowing in the wrong direction. I saw 3 top scouts at the match and they said that no other clubs want Dunk or JFC for that matter.

Anyway when I woke up and realised top scouts don't tend to go and watch Brighton games I made a cup of coffee and wstched the skysports guys praising his performance.
Dunk mom for me and plased Tex is with us for the season.

When a scout turns up at the Amex to look over a potential target, none of our players slip his attention, and that includes Dunk. A continuous run of form by the team as a whole resulting in progress up the table, will certainly attract scouts to our matches. By the end of this season more than one scout will have a complete file on Tex, the guy they came to look at, and whilst building that file players such as Dunk, and others, won't be missed, not if we are having a good season.

Our resident, 'expert,' on all matter concerning scouts, should know that no scout worth his salt will only look at a particular target. Dunk could be in the prem before the club is, he just needs to continue to turn in quality performances, and yeah, a quality performance can contain an error here and there.

Cant say I'm surprised by Lewis's nomination. I did state pre-season that if there was to be anyone at the club who would really benefit from Hyypia's appointment, it would be Lewis Dunk.
Sammi knows that position inside out and for Dunk already being preferred for a starting role ahead of an experienced campaigner like Hughes, shows how highly Sammi rates Lewis.
We may do well to hang on to him if he continues to improve as he is.
Roll on Saturday.
I know winning 4 successive matches is something of a rarity, but it would be a huge boost to all concerned if we can.
I'm sure Charlton at home is one of those games that was earmarked for 3 points at the start of the season so expectations will be understandably high.

Hyyp, Hyypie, Hy ay

The goals will flow . ( Sung to the tune of " Night riders in the Sky ")

Good assessment SMF20 based on the radio commentary.
On the down side Ankergren didn't seem to inspire confidence and Crofts particularly as well as O'Grady had ineffectual games. In the next round it would be good to see Walton given a chance if Stockdale is rested again.
I think it will take Crofts a bit more time to get back to his best following his injury so I wouldn't be surprised if McCourt or Gardner started in his place on Saturday. Both Gardner and McCourt appeared to make positive contributions last night.
For someone who only signed on Sunday and doesn't speak English Colunga had quite an impact - Nathan Jones's Spanish no doubt proving useful again. I hope SH retains Colunga in the same role supporting the main striker for the next few matches.
Still more transfer business to be done in the next 5 days before the Window closes. Top of the list a proven striker to replace Ulloa as pointed out recently by a number of posters. I would also like another winger brought in to replace Buckley as I am concerned by March's injury and also LuaLua's which I hope isn't serious.
Finally has anyone heard what is happening wit the young Irish defender Lenihan ?
It seems he is chosing between BHA and Hull and I guess as a PL side Hull are favourites to secure his signature. However I think his chances of getting some game time in the short term are better with the Albion. Incidentally I notice that on the TransferMarket website his main position is listed as CB with RB and CM as other options. It also sems he is quite tall - 188 cms (6ft 2ins).
The next 5 days should be interesting. Hpefully we will see the last one or two potential signings successfully concluded. Bloom promised us a competitive squad and that looks to be what he and SH are putting together.
