Who has the most bookings for Albion this season?

Danny Holla perhaps? The Dutch midfielder has demonstrated he is not afraid to put a foot in.

Or a defender, centre-halves Gordon Greer or Lewis Dunk, or maybe one of the Spaniards Bruno or Inigo Calderon?

You may be surprised to learn the answer is none of them.

Jake Forster-Caskey, the England under-21 midfielder better-known for his ability on the ball than his tackling, is the one on the brink of a ban against Blackpool at the Amex today.

He has collected four yellow cards, including one in each of the last three games.

It took him until April, 31 appearances into the season, to reach that mark last time around.

Data supplied by the Football League also shows Forster-Caskey has committed the most fouls, 12 in total, three more than Greer or Calderon.

Forster-Caskey has not become a dirty player overnight.

He has started six out of seven Championship matches under Sami Hyypia, so the ratio of cautions compared to minutes on the pitch is not so damning.

It is also no bad thing for Forster-Caskey to have a competitive edge to his game, with so much congestion for midfield places at both Albion and international level.
