Honest Sam Baldock has admitted he was surprised to be named Albion's man-of-the-match against Blackpool at the Amex today.
The former Bristol City striker was booked early on for simulation and substituted nine minutes from the end after a subdued display.
He was announced as Albion's best player by match sponsors KRL before the final whistle.
Baldock told The Argus: I was (surprised). When the guy came to get me I said they've read the wrong name out.
"I think it was one of those games where you couldn't single out any individual for quality, because everyone was expecting a thrashing today.
"We didn't. We knew it was going to be a tough game and Blackpool were very hard to break down."
