Burton could be missing FOUR of their top attacking players against Albion tonight.

But boss Gary Rowett admits his defence is causing him more concern ahead of the Capital One Cup tie.

Adam McGurk, whose free-kick knocked out QPR in the previous round, is rated very doubtful with a hip injury.

Three-goal Lucas Akins and experienced Stuart Beavon are also expected to miss the tie with ankle and groin problems respectively.

Former Burnley striker Alex MacDonald (ankle) is definitely out.

Burton have won all six home games so far this season.

But they have lost their last two away fixtures and a 3-1 reverse at Bury on Saturday knocked them off the top of League Two.

Rowett said: “We’ve got the plaudits for 18 months for the way we’ve defended and we’ve just come away from that in the last two games.

“Now we’ve got to make sure we react again, positively.”

Victory would take the Seagulls into tonight’s fourth-round draw and give them wins over three teams in the League Cup for the first time since 1978-79.

They last reached the fourth round the following season but had a bye in the first round.
