Albion boss Sami Hyypia is mulling over a breakthrough role for Kazenga LuaLua at Nottingham Forest tomorrow.
The Finn has to decide whether to use the explosive former Newcastle attacker from the start against the Championship leaders at the City Ground or keep him up his sleeve.
LuaLua has been involved in all 11 matches so far under Hyypia, alternating between the starting line-up and the bench.
The 23-year-old, who has yet to start two games in succession, emphasised his capabilities with a stunning goal, his second of the season, in Wednesday’s 3-0 Capital One Cup win at Burton Albion.
Hyypia said: “He can do something that many players can’t. He can change games and he has shown a few times this season that he can come on (from the bench) very well.
“He has shown this season as well that he can start the game so he’s a good player to have.”
LuaLua will make his 50th League start for Albion, spread over four spells, if he gets the nod from the kick-off in the East Midlands.
Hyypia faces a similar bench or start decision with Paddy McCourt following the Northern Irishman’s influential full debut at Burton.
