Inigo Calderon is back to give manager Sami Hyypia a welcome rotation option as Albion embark on another post-international fixture blitz.

The Spanish defender is in contention for Middlesbrough's visit today after serving a three-match suspension.

A red card for Calderon at Burton Albion in the Capital One Cup, regarded as harsh by Hyypia, ruled the second-choice right-back out of three matches in a week against Nottingham Forest, Cardiff and Watford.

The versatile Calderon will return to the bench today as cover for compatriot Bruno and other positions.

His availability allows Hyypia scope to give Bruno a breather during a hectic surge of seven games in 22 days, including the Capital One Cup fourth round tie at Tottenham, before the next international interruption.

Hyypia told The Argus: "It's great to have him back as an option. He has a good mentality and attitude to training every day.

"He is pushing other players in the same direction as well. He is a very good player to have in the squad."
