One of Middlesbrough’s goalscorers felt Albion did not offer much of a threat in yesterday’s clash at the Amex.
Albert Adomah admitted any win against the Seagulls is an achievement.
But he believed Middesbrough had a pretty comfortable afternoon on the South Coast.
Adomah said: “Last season we beat them 2-0 and here we’ve beaten them 2-1, so it's a great achievement to win here two years running.
“Getting the three points was the main target even though it wasn’t a great game – and we deserved to win.
“When you take the lead you can sometimes relax and with Brighton being at home they were going to put us under pressure. They scored from a set-piece which was a bit disappointing but apart from that they didn’t have many chances.”
