Skipper Josh Simpson makes only his third appearance of the season as Crawley bid to bounce back from two heavy defeats against Walsall tonight.
Simpson has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury suffered during the 2-0 home win over Yeovil Town, although he was an unused substitute at Notts County on Saturday.
The midfielder previously limped out of the opening day win at Barnsley with an ankle injury which sidelined him for seven weeks.
Simpson comes in to replace the suspended Keith Keane in midfield as one of two changes from the side which was hammered 5-3 at Meadow Lane.
The other change sees Jamie Ashdown recalled in place of Brian Jensen in goal. Ashdown was dropped after two costly blunders in the 4-1 defeat to Peterborough in Reds’ last home match but Jensen was also unconvincing at Notts County on Saturday.
Crawley (4- 4-1-1): Ashdown; Oyebanjo, Leacock, Walsh, Sadler; Edwards, Elliott, Smith, Young, Simpson; McLeod. Subs: Jensen, Henderson, Bradley, Banya, Harrold, Bawling, Tomlin.
Walsall ( 4-4-2): O’Donnell; Purkiss, Downing, J Chambers, Taylor; Baxendale, Cain, A Chambers, Forde; Sawyers, Cook. Subs: O’Connor, Mantom, MacGillvray, Benning, Morris, Grimes, Manset.
