Jake Forster-Caskey says the players are to blame, not Sami Hyypia, for Albion being the nearly team of the Championship.

The manager's selections and tactics have come under fire from some fans but England under-21s midfielder Forster-Caskey insists the Seagulls' plight is the fault of the players.

Albion have drawn five of their last six matches and four of their five defeats have been by a single goal margin.

The pressure is on to end a nine-game winless league run against promoted Rotherham at the Amex today.

Forster-Caskey said: "I think everybody feels it (pressure). Obviously we can't lie, we're not in a good situation at the moment. It's only down to us. We're the ones going out there and we're the ones that need to make it right.

"Maybe there is a bit more pressure at home but as players we need to deal with that. We've got ourselves in this situation and we need to get ourselves out of it.

"I don't think we can make too many excuses. We've had enough time to get it right. It's now down to us.

"I think there's still confidence in the group. We've still got a great team spirit and belief. We just need to get it right over the 90 minutes.

"There have been changes. Everybody believes in the manager. We've got 100 per cent confidence in him."
