Sami Hyypia plans to sort out Albion's penalty-taking duties.

The Seagulls boss saw Adrian Colunga stroke his side into a 3-2 lead at Norwich yesterday.

But he was not the only player keen to grab the ball after Sam Baldock was fouled in the box.

The Spaniard did not seem fazed by what had gone on.

But Hyypia is concerned penalty takers can feel under more pressure to score when they have had to argue their case to put the ball on the spot.

Hyypia said: “I don’t care who shoots but I wouldn’t want players to fight for the ball on the field.

“When you are fighting for the ball you put more pressure on the player who eventually shoots it.

“I think it is unnecessary and we need to make sure we are not putting any more pressure on the penalty taker.”

Jake Forster-Caskey converted two spot kicks at Swindon in the Capital One Cup, when Colunga was on the pitch.

Yesterday’s penalty was Albion’s first in the league since Leo Ulloa blazed over at home to Middlesbrough last season.

It was their first successful spot kick in the Championship since David Lopez’s winner at Millwall on March 1.

David had a perfect five-from-five record for the Seagulls, although he fired one over the bar for new club Lugo recently.
