Peacehaven manager Shaun Saunders has stepped down for family reasons.

Saunders has led the Magpies through one of the greatest periods in the club’s history since taking charge in 2011.

Peacehaven won the County League and promotion to the Ryman League for the first time in their history in 2013.

Then last year they made it back-to-back league titles by winning Ryman south before completing a double by winning the Sussex Senior Cup at the Amex.

The Magpies are currently 16th in Ryman premier, which is the highest level the club has ever played at.

However, family reasons have forced Saunders to step aisde, although he will remain involved at a committee level.

Assistant boss Tony Coade has taken over as manager.
