Sam Baldock has been praised for his unselfishness as he prepares to tackle Arsenal playing out of position.

The £1.5 million summer signing from Bristol City is expected to feature on the left-wing again against the Gunners tomorrow.

Baldock will be tasked with offering a goal threat and helping Joe Bennett deal with a likely fleet-footed combination for Arsenal of Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott, who scored the winner when the teams met two years ago.

The 24-goal top scorer in League One last season, used by Bristol as a central striker, cut in from the left flank to strike a spectacular second in 15 outings for Albion in Wednesday's 3-2 win at home to Ipswich.

Boss Chris Hughton told The Argus: "I'm delighted for Sam, because he is somebody who has been used to putting the ball in the back of the net.

"Fair play to him, he wants to play and at this moment he's doing a job for the team.

"He's got high energy and it really is about somebody in that position getting into areas where they can have opportunities to score goals.

"It's not a position that I know is his best position, but he is a lad that is very willing to do that and put a good shift in for the team."
