Boss Dean Saunders has named an unchanged team for the third game in a row as he bids to end Crawley’s 15-game winless run against Preston today.

Saunders has stuck with the same starting 11 which lost at Chesterfield on Tuesday and Fleetwood last Saturday with Dean Leacock losing his battle to be fit.

The Reds manager has made a slight alteration on the bench with new signing Lee Fowler taking the place of Matt Harrold who has been troubled by an Achilles problem.

It means Crawley are expected to line up in a 4-4-1-1 formation again with Anthony Wordsworth operating behind lone striker Izale McLeod.

The contrast in resources available between Crawley and Preston is highlighted by the fact North End boss Simon Grayson is able to make four changes to the team which drew 0-0 at Walsall in the JP Trophy on Tuesday.

Sam Johnstone returns in goal while there is a debut for Aston Villa loanee Daniel Johnson who scored against Crawley for Oldham earlier in the season.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake replaces Kevin Davies up front while Josh Brownhill comes into the midfield.

Crawley (4-4-1-1): Price; Oyebanjo, Walsh, Ward, Dickson; Young, Smith, Elliott, Edwards; Wordsworth; McLeod. Subs: Bradley, Morgan, Fowler, Anderson, Bawling, Tomlin, Dutton.

Preston (4-2-3-1): Johnstone; Woods, Clarke, Huntington, Buchanan; Welsh, Brownhill, Gallagher, Johnson, Reid; Ebanks-Blake. Subs: Stuckmann, Laird, Wiseman, King, Kilkenny, Humphrey, and K. Davies
