Chris Eubank Junior has been warned to be wary of the Night Wolf’s bite.

Eubank Jr, 25, challenges Dmitry Chudinov for his Interim WBA World middleweight title at the 02 Arena, London tonight.

Chudinov gets his nickname from the motorcycle club Night Wolves – or Nochniye Volki - he is a member of along with Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The 28-year-old Russian’s last fight was at a massive open-air bike show at Sevastopol in front of 100,000 leather-clad bikers.

But Chudinov has shown no traits of a rebel without a cause or devil-may-care attitude in the build-up, instead he was the model of decency in their first head to head His respectful stance remained despite Eubank Jr’s urging to hype up the fight but WBF world middleweight champion Patrick ‘Tiger’ Mendy says Chudinov will be a changed man when the two get in the ring.

One of the two draws on Chudinov’s 14-0-2 record came in 2013 at Wembley Arena against Mendy and knows all about Eubank Jr’s next opponent.

And Mendy told The Argus: “The Russian fighters have a different culture.

“When you come to the United Kingdom we like to sit down and talk with the media and talk about this and that.

“But when you go other countries it is not like that. It’s different in Russia they don’t talk much but they are very, very dangerous.

“That’s why I said to Chris, don’t let that carry you away because he is dangerous and that is why I said to (promoter) Frank Warren that this show is going to be crazy.

“He will change from the nice boy you have seen.

“We are going to see a good fight.”

Mendy also revealed that Chudinov is a big name in Russia along with his brother Fedor who holds the WBA’s super-middleweight interim belt.

Mendy said: “A lot of kids are inspired by him and he is their hero.

“He is very well known in Moscow, especially as the Night Wolf, and the president says he is the best fighter.

“Every time he fights in Moscow it is at midnight because he is the Night Wolf!

“When he is fighting over here, everyone watches - even the president watches. He is part of the Night Wolves club as well.”

Mendy says the Eubank name is also known in Russia.

He said: “If people hear the name Eubank they will know him because of his father.”
