Solly March is unlikely to play again for Albion this season.
The versatile young attacker has been out since February with a fractured fibula.
Manager Chris Hughton said: “He is making progress but if there is any participation this season then it is going to be minimal. Probably we are speaking about next season.
“Any way we can get him back before the end of the season, even if it’s only an involvement in one or two games, then we’ll try our best to do that.
“It’s been frustrating for him because he’s a young player who really wants to be playing at this stage of his career and he is not somebody who is used to being injured.”
March was injury-free until suffering a stress fracture of the back in a pre-season friendly last July, which sidelined him until December.
