Ian Chapman wants champions Burgess Hill to treat today’s final home game like it’s a ‘cup final’.

The Hillians wrapped up the title over Easter with victory at Carshalton but have lost back-to-back games since then having previously only been beaten once in the league all campaign.

The Ryman south trophy will be presented and boss Chapman wants to finish on a high at home to Whitstable with a win that would ensure they eclipse last season’s champions Peacehaven’s haul of 107 points.

He said: “We want to treat the game like a cup final as it’s the last home match and the presentation.

“We want to repay all those who have come to watch us and also get the highest points total.”

Dan Perry should be back after concussion but Brighton Marathon runner Spencer Slaughter (blisters) and Rob O’Toole (hamstring) are out.

Lee Harding is going on trial at Fleetwood next week.
