Crawley interim boss Dean Saunders has hailed the contribution of departing loanee Anthony Wordsworth.
The Ipswich Town midfielder set up both goals in a crucial 2-0 win at home to Notts County on Saturday which marked the end of his loan spell.
Wordsworth has spent the maximum 93 days with the Reds and will miss the final two games away to Peterborough on Saturday and at home to Coventry City on May 3.
Saunders said: “If we manage to stay up, Anthony will have played a massive part in it. He has scored some really crucial goals for us and he has had about ten or 12 assists.
“Anthony is a class player and it is disappointing we are going to lose him for the last two games. He is a key player for us.”
Saunders hopes to have Marvin Elliott back in contention at Peterborough after missing the last two games with a shin infection.
Josh Simpson made his return after more than five months out with hamstring trouble against Notts County.
The former skipper, who was transfer-listed by John Gregory in November, said: “It has been a really tough season for me. Now I’m back fit and hopefully I can contribute to the team and keep the club up.
“I’m so pleased to finally be back out there again and the reception I got from the fans when I came off the pitch was emotional.”
