Dale Stephens has set his sights on an injury-free new season with Albion.

But he admits 2014-15 has been a double disappointment.

Stephens missed much of the campaign through injury.

He returned in time to help stave off any serious relegation threat and was Albion's only goalscorer in their final nine matches.

The midfielder helped his side close the campaign with a 0-0 draw at fourth-placed Middlesbrough.

He said: "I feel good. I'm disappointed that the season is finishing but I'll be happy for the break mentally.

"I didn't have a summer last year.

"I'm hoping all the injury problems are behind me so I can concentrate on a good pre-season and starting next season strong.

"We get I think three weeks where we do nothing at all and then we kick on with an off-season programme."

Stephens felt Albion ended their season in dignified style at the Riverside.

He said: "We wanted to win. Unfortunately we couldn't do that but they are a good side and it was important to finish positively and I think we did."
