Ollie Robinson finished with career best first-class figures of 6-33 and Steve Magoffin took three wickets as Sussex bowled out Warwickshire today.

The visitors were dismissed for just 180 having elected to bat first in their Championship fixture at Hove.

Robinson had five wickets by lunch and then saw Rikki Clarke caught by Harry Finch in the slips soon after resumption in the afternoon.

Hopes of a full house ended when Jonathan Trott played on for 35, looking to pull the lively Chris Jordan.

Steve Magoffin tidied things up by taking the last three wickets.

He ended an eighth-wicket stand of 59 between Keith Barker and Jeetan Patel.

The latter departed thanks to a fine catch low down at point by Craig Cachopa.

Magoffin finished with 3-45 and Jordan had 1-48 from his 15 overs.

Cloudy conditions helped the Sussex seam attack and there is also some suggestion of variable bounce.

Sussex were left with 47 overs to bat in the final session.
