Albion came from behind to win 2-1 at League One Gillingham in their penultimate friendly tonight.

Goals by Dale Stephens (56) and young substitute Chike Kandi (66) cancelled out Bradley Dack's 47th minute opener for the Gills at the Priestfield Stadium.

The star of the show for the Seagulls was summer signing Niki Maenpaa.

The Finnish international made smart saves in the first half to foil Luke Norris (twice), Ben Williamson and to prevent rookie centre-half Tom Dallison heading into his own net.

Dallison partnered skipper Gordon Greer, who made his comeback from injury before departing in the second half as part of a flurry of substitutions by manager Chris Hughton.

Spanish striker Adrian Colunga chipped against the bar early on before he was replaced at the interval in what was mainly a squad of fringe players and development prospects.
