CHRIS HUGHTON has told Albion fans Bobby Zamora is looking sharper all the time.
But the former England man can only benefit from more game time before he hits the peak of his current powers.
Albion are keen to increase their goal tally to match what they feel their general performances deserve.
They are also believed to be monitoring the situation of Nicolas Lodeiro and Jonathan Calleri, the highly-rated attacking players on whom Argentinian league leaders Boca Juniors could look to cash in once their current season ends in late November.
Zamora played a goal-making role in his only start so far this season, at Bolton, and has otherwise had limited minutes.
But Hughton has revealed the progress he has made behind the scenes.
The Albion manager said: “He has still got a bit to do.
“That’s obvious because of (the amount of) games (he has played).
“It would be no different to a Danny Holla coming in, who has been doing all the work but not played as many games.
“Bobby still has a bit to to go but he is training far more regularly now, with more intensity, and he has got that good game at Bolton under his belt.”
