Liam Rosenior reckons Albion could be flying their way to the Premier League.

The Seagulls are taking to the skies again for tomorrow’s trip to Burnley (1.15pm).

Albion are chartering a jet for all the many long journeys they face in the Championship this season.

That has sent travel costs soaring but no expense is being spared by chairman Tony Bloom in the quest for promotion.

And Rosenior believes short journeys by air instead of hours sitting on a coach could make a vital difference when the points are totted up in May.

He said: “It makes a difference for the game in general, being there quickly and getting to the hotel and settling in, and also cumulatively over the season cutting down the hours that you’re travelling.

“That’s one of the things that I’ve been really impressed with at this football club. The professionalism, not just in terms of the travelling or the facilities, but the staff that are working here.

“The medical staff are outstanding. The testing that we do every day, the different tablets that we take, and also the analysis in the analysis room. We’ve been watching Burnley for the last three or four weeks to be ready for the game. There’s not a stone left unturned.

“I remember Dave Brailsford (Team Sky and ex-GB Olympic cycling coach) speaking about the one per cents and they add up. It’s important that you get everything right in your preparation so that players become accountable.

“Then we have no excuse, saying this wasn’t done right, this wasn’t prepared properly, because you know the manager is fantastic and preparing the team. That’s one of the reasons we’ve started so well.”
