Boss Mark Yates expressed sympathy for Crawley Town's travelling fans following a fifth consecutive defeat on the road.

Reds went down 2-1 at relegation-threatened Yeovil Town after an insipid performance at Huish Park.

Second half goals from subsitutes Ryan Bird and Tahvon Campbell were enough to secure the points for the Glovers despite a late consolation from Lee Barnard.

Yates said: "It was very disappointing. I am really disappointed for the supporters who made the journey.

"We tried to set up a little bit differently but it didn't work as well we wanted. In the first half we did okay but in the second half they camped in our half and we lacked any composure or quality.

"They camped in our half and it looked like we were the team who had played extra-time (in the FA Cup) on Tuesday night and not them.

"We needed to roll up our sleeves and fight with them but I felt we didn't do that and our game management was poor.

"It was another bad day on the road and we have got to get it out of our systems quickly."
