Albion boss Chris Hughton believes winger Henrik Bjordal could push for first-team involvement as the new season progresses.

The 19-year-old Norwegian is one of several young players brought in over the last two transfer windows and will get minutes as Albion send sides to both Luton (2pm) and Stevenage (5.30pm) today.

Bjordal has looked at home during friendlies against Crawley and Fulham.

Hughton said: “He is one who has been playing at senior level even though he is a young lad.

“He wouldn’t be fazed by this. He would be used to this level of competition and physicality.”

Another winger Jiri Skalak returns to action today after his return from Euro 2016 duty with the Czech Republic and midfielder Dale Stephens is also likely to be involved.
