Beram Kayal has issued a stay with me plea to Albion midfield partner Dale Stephens.

The Seagulls have rejected three bids from Burnley for Stephens, the latest around £5 million, plus an offer from a Championship rival.

Israeli Kayal, who starred with Stephens for Albion last season as they just missed out on promotion, told The Argus: "I hope we can stay together. We enjoy it every time we play together.

"We have a great understanding, I want him to stay. I know as well he needs to look to his future if he has the opportunity to play in the Premier League.

"It's normal for every player to have that dream. It's a hard situation, to be honest, but I like him as a player and a friend.

"We had a great season together last season, sharing the midfield. I hope for the team and everyone that he is going to stay."
