Uwe Huenemeier is back for Albion tonight as they make 11 changes for League Cup action.
The German, ruled out since just before last Christmas with a serious groin problem, is in the heart of the defence for the second round tie at Oxford United.
As in the first round, Albion make a full house of changes to the side which kicked off the preceding league game.
There also appears to be a change of formation with the visitors likely to line up in a 4-3-3 set-up.
Albion could be looking for Huenemeier to put himself firmly in contention to face Newcastle on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Toon have brought back Aleksandar Mitrovic for their tie against Cheltenham tonight – again with a view to giving him game time before Saturday’s televised clash.
Oxford make three changes to the side which kicked off Saturday’s 2-1 win over Peterborough.
