Connor Goldson is poised to make his comeback for Albion tonight.
The central defender is in the under-23 squad to face Southend’s first team in the new Checkatrade Trophy at Roots Hall.
Goldson has not appeared for the Seagulls since limping out of the first leg of the play-off semi-final at Hillsborough almost four months ago.
He suffered a fresh injury setback in pre-season when he damaged knee ligaments but looks set to return to action tonight.
Uwe Huenemeier is also in the squad to visit Roots Hall as he looks to build on his hour of action at Oxford in the League Cup last week.
But Solly March, making his way back to full fitness after a serious knee injury, is not expected to play.
