Solly March could return to Albion's first team squad for the first time in ten months against Norwich at the Amex on Saturday.
Boss Chris Hughton is considering whether to include March on the bench for the clash between the teams second and fourth in the Championship.
Hughton said: "I'll have a decision to make whether to put him in the squad for Saturday. He's very close."
March played 90 minutes and scored the equaliser for the under-23s in their 1-1 draw at Stoke last Saturday.
It was his second outing after a shin problem which slowed his recovery from knee damage sustained at Derby last December.
Albion have no fresh injury worries for Norwich's visit.
Lewis Dunk (above) returns from a one-match ban to the centre of defence and Dale Stephens is in contention to start in central midfield after coming off the bench to hit the winner at Wigan last Saturday.
