Steve Sidwell says it will be harder for Albion to get up than to stay up.

The Seagulls are currently between two of the teams relegated last season at the top of the Championship.

They are three points below leaders Newcastle and one ahead of tomorrow's visitors Norwich, who have kept most of the players relegated from the Premier League.

Sidwell said: "People have been asking what's harder, to get out of the Championship or stay in the Premier League?

"For me it's harder to get out of the Championship. Obviously, when you get into the Premier League you need to strengthen and build.

"I think the gap is getting smaller in the respect that it used to be the top six and the rest fighting it out for places.

"Now investment is coming over, there are a lot of good squads in the Premier League and that is slowly filtering down into the Championship."

"You look at the standard of teams in the Championship and players - it's huge."
