Seb Pocognoli is set for his fourth Championship start for Albion against Sheffield Wednesday at the Amex tomorrow night.

The left-back on loan from West Brom is fit after missing the last four matches with a groin injury.

First choice left-back Gaetan Bong, sidelined from last Saturday's defeat at Preston, is ruled out again with a knee problem which also makes his a doubt for Cardiff's visit on Tuesday.

Youngster Sam Adekugbe, on loan from Vancouver Whitecaps for the season, made an encouraging League debut at Preston deputising for Bong, but Pocognoli's greater experience gives him the edge.

Boss Chris Hughton told The Argus: "The good thing with Gaetan is he has not been out for a substantial period and he's got a good fitness level.

"We are just waiting at the moment for the injury to settle down enough so he can go back into training and once he's back in training I think the turnaround for somebody like him won't be so long.

"The fact he is not fit for tomorrow night makes it (Tuesday) a little bit more difficult, but we're not writing him off.

"It would be fair to say Seb would be the more logical one to come in, but the balances are Sam played and was one of the pluses from Saturday's game, while Seb has been out for a little while.

"I'd like to think I've got decisions to make in all areas."

Lewis Dunk returns to the centre of defence tomorrow night after his two-match ban and midfielder Dale Stephens has recovered from the illness which kept him out at Preston.

Hughton said: "Dale has certainly done enough training and he is somebody who has been playing. It's a long, hard season and I'm hoping he will be better for the break."
