Century seeker Sam Baldock wants to count medals, not goals, when he hangs his boots up.

The Albion striker has 99 goals to his name and could bring the 100 up against Sheffield Wednesday at the Amex tonight.

Baldock, who scored against them in the Seagulls' first-ever win at Hillsborough earlier in the season, admits he has stopped counting since his move to the Amex.

Fifteen of his goals have come in Albion colours, seven of them this season.

He was more prolific with MK Dons and Bristol City, the other clubs he has played for along with West Ham in a 320-game career.

Baldock, 27, told The Argus: "Before I came to this club I used to counts goals and stats and everything.

"My progression line had dippled slightly, so I've stopped counting.

"Someone told me about that (on 99) after the QPR goal. I'm hoping to contribute a lot more for this team before the end of the season.

"Before I came here my record was pretty good. At the end of my career I'm not going to judge myself on goals, I'll judge myself on medals and achievements.

"Hopefully this season can be one that I look back on fondly."
