Bruno has urged Albion to have 11 captains on the pitch after revealing his all-in-it-together approach behind the scenes.
The Seagulls are preparing for the first part of an exciting double-bill at the Amex as they face Reading followed by Newcastle.
Bruno led the team in the second half of their promotion near-miss last term while Gordon Greer remained club captain.
Now the Catalan is promoting a collective style off the pitch .
He told The Argus: “I always believe it can’t be just one leader.
“You need to have a lot of leaders. That helps everyone to take responsibility.
“I was close to GG and I knew what he was doing. He was doing a lot of stuff that a captain has to do but I try to split a few things.
“I think it is good that everyone feels important within the changing room. I give them different jobs to do.”
Albion were heartened by a 2-0 win at Barnsley on Saturday.
The promotion picture ultimately remained unchanged after the top three all won over the space of four days.
Bruno said: “Barnsley was a final, Reading will be another final, Newcastle are top and it will be a really tough game.
“We know Reading and Newcastle are going to be tough games but maybe it is our day and we can win.
“Then you can go to a lower team and lose. That is how the Championship is.”
