LIAM ROSENIOR believes Albion have the perfect blend to clinch promotion.

And he says the experience gained from last season’s near-miss will be “invaluable” this time around.

Chris Hughton’s squad includes laid-back characters such as Dale Stephens and Solly March, together with the likes of highly-strung winger Anthony Knockaert.

Rosenior, promoted to the Premier League with Hull before joining Albion, told The Argus: “You’ve got to detach yourself.

“I think last season’s experience is going to be invaluable over the next eight games. You need different types of characters.

“We’ve got emotional people in the team, we’ve got calm people. You need a mix and I think the mix we have in the dressing room is absolutely perfect.

“We are still in a fantastic position to do what we want to do.”

Albion return to action against relegation-threatened Blackburn Rovers at the Amex on Saturday with a six-point cushion over Huddersfield in third and a point behind leaders Newcastle.

Rosenior, pictured, regards Hughton as the ideal manager to guide them over the line as they bid for a response to the defeat at Leeds before the international break.

“I cannot speak highly enough of him as a man and a manager,” Rosenior said. “He’s outstanding.

“He picked us up after the (Leeds) game. I think the lads needed it. We’re in a great position. This league is about accumulating points.

“It’s not about what other teams do. It’s about getting the amount of points you need to get promotion and we’re concentrating on ourselves.”
